I have been designing and selling knitwear in one form or another for almost 10 years. I started selling on Etsy back in 2009 and had some awesome experiences along the way. However, this past year, knitting for my business has turned something that I enjoy into something that I dread. I still love knitting and doing it for personal projects, but I've realized that knitting things that I HAVE to make takes all the joy out of it for me.
As my interested in selling knitwear has begun to fade, I discovered a new passion: designing things for knitters like myself. Making things that enhance the knitting experience or just help knitters express their yarn-loving identity has become the new focus of adKnits, and if you’ve been following along this past year, you've seen the results of that focus start to pop up in the shop.
So, with a renewed excitement about adKnits, I'm officially announcing that I will no longer be offering knitwear. I have had so many wonderful customers over the years that I am immensely thankful for, and I'm sad hat I will no longer be able to serve them, but I know this is the right direction for myself and my business. I have removed all of my knitted goods from this site, however you will still be able to find the last of my knitwear stock for sale over at my Etsy shop (and it's on clearance!).
So, this is my official farewell to knitwear. I’m excited for the year to come, and all the ideas I have planned! Thank you for coming along on this journey with me!
