2019 Make Nine Challenge

2019 Make Nine Challenge

Have you heard of the Make Nine Challenge?  The Make Nine Challenge was created by Rochelle of Home Row Fiber Co. and basically, you focus your making by choosing nine things to knit, sew, or make, and you try to get them all done within the year.  This spoke to me particularly because it's for people that feel pressed for time which is always always always me.  For instance, it's almost February and I'm just getting around to planning my projects.

And despite that whole thing I said about being pressed for time, I've got ten items on my list.  Indecision, y'all.

So here's my ten:

#1.  Skiff by Jared Flood
Because I can't resist a Jared Flood cable

#2.  My Favorite Vanilla Socks by Meaghan Schmaltz
Because I'm determined to perfect my two-at-a-time sock knitting.

#3.  Emerald Fingerless Mittens by Lucy Sweetland
Because those bobbles are stinkin' cute.

#4.  Clarke Pullover by Jane Richmond
Because I want a basic sweater to live in.

#5.  The Shift by Andrea Mowry
Because I'm just not a shawl knitter.

#6.  Celyn by Michelle Want
I'm a little worried the cables will kill me, but I can't resist the texture!

#7.  Deep Woods Toque by Kiyomi Burgin
Because, um, it's adorable.

#8.  Spiny Socks by Fatimah Hinds
Because I like the instant gratification of doing socks on bigger needles

#9. Telja by Jennifer Steingass
Because I want to knit every single one of her designs.

#10.  White Pepper by Alicia Plummer
Shh... this one's a gift!

So, that's my ten! I've managed to cast on the Vanilla Socks so far and at least have a cuff.  If anyone else is doing this challenge, I'd love to hear about your plans!
